, the local baseball fan who won Pepsi's MLB Field of Dreams contest. Well, actually we all won, because the winner's hometown (that's you Rochester) will get to play host to a mock MLB all star game.

First off, congrats to Johnny! Good work man. And congrats to Pepsi; you've got me blogging about your product which I don't even drink as caffeine gives me killer headaches. But I digress.

Let's get to the details of this baseball game which have finally been released. Tickets are now on sale...

Johnny Perotti, winner of Pepsi's Field of Dreams contest, and his team of MLB American League Hall of Famers will take on Stephen Katchmark and the National League team at Frontier Field on May 18.

Game time will be 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 18 at Frontier Field, with the gates opening at 4 p.m. Here's the     link to get your tickets online

promotion and now have the chance to play a baseball game with some of their all-time favorite players. During the hometown voting competition, Perotti edged out Katchmark to bring the game to Rochester. As the home team, Perotti and five of his friends will join the AL MLB legends to take on Katchmark, his five friends and the NL MLB legends.

The MLB greats taking the field for the American League include: Wade Boggs, Rickey Henderson, Reggie Jackson, Pedro Martinez and Frank Thomas; while the National League team will include: Johnny Bench, Trevor Hoffman, Fred McGriff, Mike Schmidt and Ozzie Smith.

"I've been preparing for the Pepsi MAX MLB Field of Dreams Game," said Frank Thomas, Pepsi MAX MLB Field of Dreams American League team member. "The guys on the AL and NL rosters are some of the greatest players of all time, and I am excited to take the field with Johnny, his friends and the other AL legends."

In 2012, Pepsi MAX created a real-life "Field of Dreams" at Huntington Park in Columbus, OH for the inaugural Pepsi MAX MLB Field of Dreams Game and will transform Frontier Field for this year's event.

"Pepsi MAX is excited to bring to life our vision for the Pepsi MAX Field of Dreams Game in Rochester, N.Y.," said Heidi Sandreuter, Senior Director, Pepsi Sports Marketing. "We have been planning this for several months and look forward to creating an unforgettable day for Johnny, Stephen, the fans, and the community."

"This is exciting event for the entire city of Rochester, and we are working closely with Pepsi MAX to make it a memorable experience for everyone in attendance."

A reminder: all tickets for the Field of Dreams Game are general admission, so Wings season seat holders will not be able to purchase, reserve or hold their Wings season seat locations.

Fans can get one free ticket to the Field of Dreams Legends Game by purchasing two 12-packs of Pepsi product at Rochester area Wegmans stores, beginning Saturday, April 13. Look for the Field of Dreams Game display at Wegmans beginning April 13 for more details on that.

I've already got my tickets and my big foam finger all ready to go.
