At one of the Greentopia films a few weeks ago my ears caught the sweet sounds of Cammy Enaharo and I don't think I've stopped smiling since. Cammy, 20, is from Rochester... so I admit I may be a little biased. But give her music a listen and I think you'll agree, this girl is going places...

Cammy graduated from     School Without Walls

and studied at     Nazareth College

. She says she started writing and singing her songs in 2010 after getting her first ukulele as a Christmas gift. Motivated by the response she received online she gradually started performing at local venues like the Bug Jar and City Newspaper's Best Busker Contest.

Her lyrics are playful and folksy, but her sound is mature and soulful. Its a powerful combination that many of today's most "popular" musicians couldn't imitate if they tried. Her voice has a deep crackle to it that I really dig too. You won't hear any over-the-top embellishments in these notes. Her style is fairly restrained--in a good way--it just leaves you wanting more...

I LOVE the way Cammy makes something as completely simple as riding a bike seem so deeply meaningful and complex!

Don't bother trying to compare her to others you've heard. It's tempting I know. I've been through my entire iTunes library. This is not another Lauryn Hill. Definitely not Adele. Cammy is uniquely Cammy. And as this Rochester native continues to write and perform and flex her creative muscle, I can't wait to see which directions she pushes herself.

Cammy has also played in Jamestown, NY on     Rolling Hills Radio with Ken Hardley

and opened for     Preach Freedom

. In fact, she's currently working on recording her first album in Pittsburgh with help from Preach. And she continues to write new material. Everyday life experiences are her inspiration and she says her new job as a Patient Transporter for Rochester General Hospital has sparked plenty of new thoughts to share with her audiences.

Now go ahead and give Cammy a "Like" on     Facebook

and listen to some of her other brilliant tracks on     SoundCloud

.     Wasting time    has never made me so darn happy!
